BHS choir gets creative — literally — after cuts
Budget cuts prevented the Bakersfield High School choir from going on tour this year, so the students are making up for it by premiering a work written especially for them. “The district started not allowing us to travel distances over 150 miles,” choral director Christopher Borges said, adding the policy effectively ended the choir’s ability to tour.
