the City and Guilds Course 2330 Electrical Installation is a waste of time?

I teach the 2330 course to mixed groups ranging from 16-19 year olds, apprentices doing work based learning and an adult group taking the course in the evenings. Most of the people I teach believe the course is appropriate to them becaue they intend to work full time in the electro-technical industry and it is the recognised starting point for most further courses such as teh 2391 and 2381. So if you feel it is a waste of your time I would guess that you are not intending to work full time as an electrician or you already have a lot of experience and are simply looking to get the qualifications to certify under part P of the building regs. If it’s the latter then I would agree with you as the best path would be 2391, 2381 possibly with the Domestic Installer course as well followed by registration with one of the Part P certification bodeis such as Napit or Niceic.
